Harry Cain - Guitar, Ukulele, Song-Writing

Why are you Passionate about Teaching Music?
It’s truly a privilege to spread the joy and wonder of creating music with developing musicians; music is a powerful, effectual tool that is worth sharpening.

What makes you unique from other teachers?
I emphasize the concept of learning technical skills, with an ultimate goal of individual composition and musical expression. This is how I personally most enjoy music...taking my technique tools and learned cover songs, and then applying those ideas to personal music projects. To me, the best part of learning an instrument is eventually creating new music with that instrument.

How would you describe the atmosphere/energy in your teaching studio?
Free from judgement, yet very intentional in how we prioritize our time, both inside and outside of the teaching studio.

What is something fun about you that you would like people to know?
I love deep woods backpacking! It will always be a fun, exciting hobby of mine.

What are your passions outside of teaching?
I’m passionate about studying The Bible and writing/recording music. Additionally, I’m committed to my academic goals in studying mechanical engineering at Auburn.
